This has been making its rounds in the media. This pastor, and all those clapping at this immorality will have to give an answer to God one day for their actions. It is shameful to celebrate as beautiful something God considers to be abominable, and to do so in the name of Christ. I sympathize with those who experience same-sex attraction, but the church ought to be there to help them resist their temptations, not to applaud them for giving in to them.

Oh dear oh dear! Is this really happening in the Church today??
When the Pharisees asked Jesus about divorce He takes them back to the begininning and says” the Creator made them male and female and said for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and he will be united to his wife and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one. Therefore what God has joined together let not man separate” Matt 19 v 5 and 6
Are we really now saying that God has joined these two men together so they become one because in Leviticus 18 v 22 He gives this very clear instruction
“Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman. that is detestable”
So has God now changed His mind and its no longer detestible?
Does He now join a man and a man as one?
Does He now join a woman and a woman as one?
He goes on to say in Leviticus 18 v 24 “Do not defile yourself in any of these ways because this is how the nations that I am going to drive out before you became defiled”
Has God now changed His mind to suit popular opion of man?
While I fully agree that many go through great struggles regarding their sexual orientation the faliure of the Church is in allowing this to happen and not providing a way out for these people who genuinely do struggle but give in because its now allowed by Government and parts of the Church.
There is more scriptual backing for a man to have more that one wife but for some reason its not allowed by Government or the church.
Paul says ” a deacon should be husband of one wife” It was advisable as at that time there may have been men with two wives or more.
I will finish with this quote from 1 Thessalonians 4 v 3 to 8 which is much better than me.
“It is God,s will that you should be sanctified: that each should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the heathen who do not know God and in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins as we have already told you and warned you.
For God did not call us to be impure but to live a holy life. Therefore he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God who gives you His Holy Spirit”
If I support these two men I am not rejecting men but God and I really do not want to do that.
I hope those clapping and applauding the two men will repent as they are supporting something that according to God is detestable before Him.
He goes on to say in v 24 ” Do not defile yourself in any of these ways

You’ve been babbling about tongues incessantly; you should be upset with wasting your time babbling about speaking in tongues when you don’t understand the scriptures.

I think you have not understood this post. It’s not about speaking in tongues its about a church applauding a man for proposing to another man in church.
Suggest you read the post clearly next time before you accuse people incorrectly.
There are other posts I have commented on speaking in tongues which I am quite at liberty to as anyone else is.
You accuse me of not understanding the scriptures.
What makes you think you understand them better than me.
Do I detect a Spirit of pride?!

It’s obvious you do not understand scripture outside of the usual indoctrination by Pastoral incompetence; AKA, Pharisaical culturalism based on textually active bible readers who cannot understand anything except literal interpretation of text. The only Pastor I have heard in recent modernity who is anywhere near understanding scripture is Joel Osteen, Lakewood Church Houston, TX. Listen to him and you are closer to understanding more than you are now.

VATICAN CITY (Reuters) – Pope Francis will give all priests discretion during the Roman Catholic Church’s Holy Year to formally forgive women who have had abortions — the Argentine pontiff’s latest move towards a more open and inclusive church.
In Church teaching, abortion is such a grave sin that those who procure or perform it incur an automatic excommunication, which can only be lifted by designated church officials.
However, from Dec. 8 to Nov. 26, during an extraordinary Holy Year or “Jubilee” on the theme of mercy, all priests will be able to do so if the women repent “with a contrite heart”, the pope said in a letter published by the Vatican on Tuesday.
