In 1 Corinthians 14 Paul spoke of singing in tongues. Interestingly, I hear few Pentecostals do so. Do you? If so, do you tend to sing new and unknown songs, or mimic the tune and tempo of known songs?

I don’t, but there was a brother that used to go to my church that would sing in tongues. I’ve spent some time in prayer with him at his house, and he would do it. It never sounded like a song i’ve heard before.

One has control over their voice while speaking in tongues, so it is not difficult to make up a tune or even sing a familiar tune. I do it all the time. Of course, the words never sound the same each time, but the tune does!

JP, you have a really nice voice but I didn’t see any links to singing in tongues?
I sing in tongues when I’m moved to when I’m filing at work or driving home or doing the dishes or…okay all the time
