If a man who thinks he is a woman sleeps with a woman who knows she is a woman, is that gay sex or straight sex? Is homosex based on one’s biology or one’s gender identity? Given transgender ideology, the LGBT community needs to rethink what it means to be gay.
We’ve traditionally defined homosexuality in terms of biology (sex), but according to gender ideology, gender is more important than sex. When it comes to defining homosexual and heterosexual, then, shouldn’t the gender identity of the sexual partners matter more than their biological sex? If so, then homosexuality should not be defined as sexual behavior between two people of the same sex, but as sexual activity between two people of the same gender. This would mean a biological man and a biological woman could be in a homosexual relationship so long as one of them has a trans identity. For example, a trans woman (a biological man who thinks of himself as a woman even though he has male sex organs) who engages in sexual activity with a biological woman would be in a homosexual relationship despite the fact that they are having normal sexual intercourse. If the only difference between heterosexual sex and homosexual sex is the beliefs of the participants, then the meaning of “heterosexual” and “homosexual” is relative.
Using the example above, one party may define the relationship as homosexual while the other party may define the relationship as heterosexual. The biological woman may not know that her man is trans. From her perspective, the relationship is heterosexual. And yet, from the man’s (trans woman) perspective, the relationship is homosexual. Even if the biological woman knows that her man is a trans woman, she may prefer the old definition of homosexuality based on biology. Since there is no objective basis for defining these terms, each individual is at liberty to define them the way they want. This is not surprising given the fact that gender ideology is relativistic at its core. If you can define your own gender, then surely you can define “homosexual” and “heterosexual” for yourself as well.

As long as it’s between consenting adults…who cares what they call it?
Besides LGBTQ, there are chromosomal options as well. In addition to the ordinary 46,XX (female) and 46,XY (male) chromosome combinations, there are 45,X; 47,XXY; 47,XYY; 47,XXX; 48,XXYY; even 46,XX and XY (caused when two fraternal twins merge in the womb), and more. Some people are born with both male and female genitalia. And some are born with androgen insensitivity, which causes those with XY chromosomes to develop all female characteristics, including breasts and genitalia, so you can only tell that they’re biologically male by using a DNA test.
So do we want to create a new term for each type of sex combination? Or should we just let the people who are having sex call it whatever they want?

hilariously ………… it seems in the West — the vast majority of people that say they are woman trapped in a man’s body want to have sex with a woman. so yes that would be gay sex.

Derek, definitions matter to us all because we have to speak a common language. So it is important how words are defined.
The question is whether homosex should be defined by the sex organs or the gender identities of those involved, not whether it should be defined by chromosomes, so I fail to see your point. Seems like a red herring to me. Besides, we define things by the rule, not the exceptions to the rule.
