As for Hillary, this announcement is about as surprising as microwave popcorn.

Obviously, neither of us is a fan of Rob Bell. Never have been. While I am a firm believer that all will come to acknowledge Jesus as Lord and Christ, I must say that Rob Bell has used the reality of God’s love to white out God’s justice and to throw everything into a slosh bucket of unimportance (decisions aren’t important) and relativism (every behavior is OK today as long as it’s “love”). This new endorsement for gay marriage is just unbelievable. How could someone in somewhat of a leadership position be so ignorant of the social deleterious effects of homosexual behavior? If that weren’t enough, how could someone in a church leadership position read the history of the human race and Israel in the pages of the Bible and still not see that homosexual behavior is unnatural and harmful?

Might want to start putting quotation marks around the word “Christian” in these contexts. A Christian would never support these things.

Be careful of how you label people. There will be plenty of christians who will support these things on the false belief that it will make christianity more appealing and convert more people (a noble thing really).
I do worry though as I tend to find that churches that base their beliefs and morality on scripture and hold that scripture is the inerrant word of God tend to be the ones that grow and flourish. Jesus didn’t have a problem condemning unscriptural behaviour and neither should we.
The more I read of Rob Bell, the less I agree with him. Thankfully, I was taught to treat scripture as the Word of God and to test all I hear to its teaching!
