Finally, something has been done about the Episcopalian Church’s flagrant acceptance of homosexuality and same-sex marriage in defiance of Church of England’s teaching. The pessimist in me thinks this disciplinary action is not enough, is just delaying the inevitable split of the church, and was probably forced upon the Church of England’s native leaders by its conservative bodies abroad. I would love to hear the thoughts of anyone living in England or part of the Episcopalian Church.

It is an interesting time for the Anglican Church in the UK on many fronts as we now live in so secular society that the majority of the population don’t care.
The Church is understood to desire to appease and reform to accept cultural development therefore they now struggle to be taken seriously.
Had the leaders used the Bible as the benchmark and not opinion and theology they would have found a more hearing audience.
A sad reflection that the CoE and Anglicanism is now ignored.

1 Peter 1:14-16:
Out of context! N/A……Not Applicable….to or about homosexuality.
Peter is talking to his ilk scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, (in other words in foreign countries) who are chosen :
“I urge you as sojourners [παροίκους] and exiles [παρεπιδήμους] to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.”

Just a small edit, I’m assuming you mean “Disciplines” in the title, not “Disciples”.
