Many so-called prophets had prophesied that Trump would win re-election, including Kris Vallotton, Jeremiah Johnson, Pat Robertson, Curt Landry, Tomi Arayomi, Kat Kerr, Denise Goulet, Charlie Shamp, Albert Milton, Taribo West, Kevin Zadai, and many more (references are in the comments). President Trump’s legal challenges to the election results have failed and the Electoral College has voted for Joe Biden to be the next president, so it should be abundantly clear at this point that Trump is not going to serve another four years.
Will those who follow the aforementioned prophets shrug off this as just an unfortunate example of how “everyone misses it from time to time,” or will they recognize these people for what they are: false prophets?
The idea that even prophets can “miss it” sometimes is nonsense with no Biblical support. The Bible is quite clear that a true prophet never misses it. Samuel was said to be “established as a prophet” because “none of his prophecies fell to the ground unfulfilled” (1 Sam 3:19-20). In other words, proof of his prophethood was based on his prophecies being accurate 100% of the time. If any of his prophecies had failed, he would have been disconfirmed as a prophet. Where did they get this idea from? God.
God told the Israelites that if a person claimed to speak for Him, but his prophecy did not come to pass, they should consider that person to be a false prophet and execute him (Dt 18:20-22).[1] That’s a pretty high standard and a pretty intense punishment! How could God be so strict? It’s because God knew it wasn’t possible for a true prophet to ever “miss it.” Why? Because God does not try to communicate to man. When God wants to get a message to someone, He simply does so. God is always clear. That’s why you never read of anyone in the Bible saying they think God told them X and Y (see my post, “Rethinking the Will of God”). When God spoke, they were clear on both the message and its source. A true prophet would never miss it because a true prophet is simply repeating what God has told him. Prophecy is not an act of human will or understanding (2 Pet 1:20-21), and thus one cannot “miss it” due to their human frailties. That’s why God could rightly and fairly put a prophet’s life on the line: God alone ensured the accuracy of the prophet’s claims. Why do so-called modern prophets miss it? It’s because they aren’t truly hearing from God. The prophecies they issue are coming from their own thoughts and will, not God’s. They may get some things right from time to time, but so do political prognosticator’s and meteorologists. It doesn’t take the gift of prophecy to predict what many of these so-called prophets predict.
If you are following a “prophet” who has made prophecies that proved to be false, this is evidence that they are not a prophet of God. Stop listening to them. Don’t shrug off their false prophecies and chalk them up to human error. Do what God said to do: see this as evidence that they are not a prophet and do not listen to them in the future.
___________________________
[1]Some will counter that while this was true in the Old Testament, it is no longer true in the New Testament. Apart from the fact that there is no Biblical data to justify this claim, it seems false on its face. It would require that the nature of prophecy itself is different in the NT. But when you consider what prophecy is (one person communicating to other people what God communicated to him), how could that be any different in the NT? Is prophecy still God communicating a message to a person, and that person communicating that message to other people? If so, then the nature of prophecy has not changed, and thus the test of a prophet has not changed.

All Prophets are false.
Most Christian ministers need to hold master’s degrees for churches to consider employing them. Divinity schools, also called seminaries or theological colleges, offer master’s degrees in divinity. These programs prepare students to fulfill leadership roles in churches and communities.
The Old Testament mentions a school of prophets in 1 Samuel 19:18–24 and in 2 Kings 2 and 4:38–44 (some translations say “company of prophets” or “sons of the prophets”). Also, the Prophet Amos possibly mentions a prophetic school in stating his credentials (or lack thereof) to King Amaziah: “I was neither a prophet nor the son of a prophet” (Amos 7:14).
The “group of prophets” with Samuel in 1 Samuel 19 comprised students of the Prophet Samuel. These students were likely Levites who served in roles related to the tabernacle and ceremonial worship. The content of their “prophesies” is not specified. Their messages could have been general teachings from God’s laws in Moses’ Books, or they could have included additional revelation.
To be a Prophet in ancient times, say in 2730 BC, was no different than modern times, say 2025 BC. There’s nothing magical or miraculous about a Prophet. It was never God speaking to anybody; it was the Prophet, but the Prophet’s terms were from the presumptive God, and that was part of the culture and tradition.
So if you wanted to have an audience with God, you would make an appointment with the Prophet, and if you had a question for God, you would ask God; AKA the Prophet, and the answer from God; AKA the Prophet referred to as “the Lord said” or “God said,” or “the Lord told me” that I must di it or avoid doing it. You see, it was never God; it was always the Prophet following a tradition that the messenger Prophet was God on Earth listening and answering human affairs directly via the Prophet.
Prophets went to school to become Prophets, as ministers go to school to become ministers, and some say that Samuel opened the first School of the Prophets, and the next generation carried the tradition as the Sons of the Prophets.
Today those same student “prophets “are called “Ministers and Priests” and go to Seminaries
The group in 1 Samuel 19 was comprised of students of the Prophet Samuel. These students were likely Levites who served in roles related to the tabernacle and ceremonial worship. The content of their “prophesies” is not specified. Their messages could have been general teachings from God’s laws in the Books of Moses, or they could have included additional revelation as it related to modern times in their day. What was happening in contemporary times in the Prophets’ Sons originated from scripture and Moses’ writings or graduate student Prophets from the School of the Prophets, Class of 2020 BC.
Same as today, you have ministers predicting that the prophecies of the ancients are coming to pass in modern times, but the same signs of 2020 BC were coming to pass from forecasts from 3845 BC and which 2020 BC would be modern times from the 3845 BC
Prophecies and prophets, ministers, and ministerial preachings are only generations apart, but besides that, nothing more, nothing less. When catastrophic events occur in 3030 AD, there will be predictions and references to the ancients of 2020 AD…How much more the ancients from 4040 BC?

“With massive evidence of massive voter fraud, this is far from over.”
Elaine, it is over so get over it.
There were 50 or more lawsuits and the Judges said show me the massive evidence but there was no evidence and the lack of evidence was MASSIVE.
The only fraud was Trump’s attempt. Rember tearing down the infrastructure of the Post Office, removal of Ballot boxes, and then the blatant requests to disobey the Laws to thwart the vote counts?
Please be woke from delusion.

I know nothing of these “profits” but, Elaine is 100% correct, and ALL who claim there is no evidence “prophesy” of their own, 100%, dishonesty. The fact that cowardly courts & judges are lining up to deny reality merely confirms the claims of just how deep & wide the deeply evil deep state really is! Trump DID win and to say he did not is like saying the 1972 US Olympic basketball team lost.
This is very disturbing that Christians can have such a disdain for truth that they veil an obvious hatred for Him by using carnal “profeteers” as an excuse to call lies truth & truth lies. Pathetic

This post is not about whether there was election fraud, but about the nature of prophecy and how we determine a true prophet from a false prophet. Whether you believe the election was stolen from Trump due to fraud or not is not relevant. What is relevant is that so-called prophets prophesied that Trump would win a second term. They didn’t prophesy that he would lose due to election fraud. They prophesied that he would serve a second term. They were wrong. The legal challenges are essentially over. The electoral college has voted and elected the next president, and they did not elect Trump. Given what the Bible says concerning the test of a prophet, this proves that they are not prophets and people should stop listening to them.

I am sure I am not going to say anything that hasn’t been said already but why not throw in my 2 cents. There is safety in the multitude of counsellors according to the scriptures. Anyhow my best advice for prophecy is to put it on the shelf and see what happens. I don’t believe prophecy has an expiration date. I agree with the article that you should not follow a false prophet. While I do not know of or even heard any “prophets” claims that isn’t really relevant right now. Even after the news today the issue does not feel settled in my spirit. Two things to consider is the inauguration is Jan 2oth. As well as anyone considered 2024, 2028, etc.etc.etc? So I wouldn’t slap the false prophet label on someone just yet. But if you wanted too you could on preachers/ teachers who don’t speak the same thing that the Apostles taught. And quite frankly you would eliminate about 95% of the crowd right there.

Good article overall, however, since it is only the 15th of December I would hesitate to asseverate dispositively that Biden will become president since all of the appeals have not yet run their course. Have patience! There is a powerful didactive element playing out through all of this and a national security issue of supreme import yet to be decided.

LOL ……… you are mixing up 2 things.
A. Pres Trump did win the election —– all of the evidence proves fraud occurred in the swing states in a magnitude big enough to cause Biden to steal the presidency. if you cheat you didn’t win by definition. therefore, if the prediction was he’d win the 2020 election that was not a false prediction based on the evidence of massive fraud. however, the question would be if that was a God given prophecy you’d think it would include the facts in more detail.
B. as I understand to be a false prophet you need 2 things to happen: 1. you claiming you are speaking for God 2. a clear prophecy c/w a time line that can be understood by every one. example —– God told me Jesus would return to earth and usher in His millennial reign on December 15, 2020 at 10:30 am MST. if I would have made that prophecy I would be a false prophet.
and ….. why use this example ? to “get” these people you listed ? I only recognize 1 name on there —- “Pat Robertson.” if they hold to something you think is “heretical” argue against it. if you can’t do that, even if you prove he’s a false prophet, perhaps you are wrong about that belief.

Stanley, you are right that prophecy doesn’t have an expiration date, but these so-called prophets were not prophesying a future win for Trump. They were prophesying a win in this election. You mention false teachers, but false teachers are very different from false prophets. I don’t think anyone is 100% right in their doctrine, but that doesn’t make them a false teacher per se because interpretation is fallible. Prophecy, however, is not fallible because the source of the prophecy is God, not man. That’s why a prophet ought to be right 100% of the time, whereas a teacher will not.

Jeffrey, I could be wrong, but I don’t think it’s legally possible to change the outcome of the Electoral College. Besides, the only court challenge that has any substance is in Georgia. Even if Trump wins that, he still loses the election because he would have to successfully change the outcome in PA and AZ as well. That is not going to happen. Those legal challenges have failed. The kraken was not released. Trump has lost, and these so-called prophets were wrong because they were not hearing from God, because they are not prophets of God. Would you at least agree that if January 20th comes and Biden is inaugurated, that these people are false prophets?

Paul,
A. No one prophesied that Trump would have the election stolen from him due to fraud. They prophesied that he would win – that he would have a second term.
B. These people are claiming to speak for God. They have issued these statements as prophecies – not as mere opinions. And I think the timeline was quite clear since they are talking about the election.
I’m not using this example to “get” these people. I am using this example to expose these people for what they are so that God’s people will stop listening to false prophets. Do you suggest that we don’t expose false prophets? And I’m not claiming that they said anything heretical. They didn’t. They claimed God told them something about the future that turned out to be wrong. That means they are a false prophet per the Biblical test of a prophet.

Paul V, so wrong.
A. President Trump did not win the election. Paul says “all of the evidence proves fraud occurred in the swing states in a magnitude big enough to cause Biden to steal the presidency.”
But that is exactly what Trump and his lawyers said in the 50 Court Lawsuits, the same thing you just said.
So when the Judges said to show the court the evidence of the claims you make; in other words put your money where your mouth is, THEY COULD NOT. There was no fraud, only false claims, and fabricated spin-liar tales just like you made.
nd so 50 lawsuits were lost and thrown out or withdrawn because they offered no evidence just like you offered no evidence in your wild throw around words of air bubbles, they had none either just a windbag mouth and as for “B”.
Your understanding in “A” has no credibility and that speaks volumes for “B”.

You are not wrong, it is not legally possible to change the outcome of the Electoral College.
However, there is still a possible pitfall that the inauguration could be interfered with, interfered with for a period of time, but not fatal to the inevitable swearing-in of Biden.
I quote: “The sort of hellish scenarios that some people talk about is one where the president orders our regular military armed forces the United States to take over cities that he believes are engaged in an unlawful election, disruption or protests in the wake of an unresolved presidential election in the days after November 3.”
While this may be, another thing is called a Straight Jacket for someone impaired by the sufficiency of ego insanity to such an extent that we may indeed see a finale to the current Reality-show Presidency and witness a mentally deranged human carried or wheeled out on a stretcher suffering from a Manic Monday syndrome-seizure.
Nevertheless, “The fear is certainly understandable because as I’m sure you know, martial law isn’t described or confined or limited, proscribed in any way by the Constitution or laws,” Bill Banks, a Syracuse professor with an expertise in constitutional and national security law, told Military Times. “If someone has declared martial law, they’re essentially saying that they are the law.”
Martial law does have limits. The Posse Comitatus Act, passed on June 18, 1878, prevented federal troops from supervising Confederate state elections during Reconstruction.
One exception to Posse Comitatus, however, is the Insurrection Act, which allows the use of active-duty or National Guard troops for federal law enforcement in cases when “rebellion against the authority of the U.S. makes it impracticable to enforce the laws of the U.S. by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings,” according to U.S. Northern Command.
“One of the important things to remember about the Insurrection Act is that it’s not martial law,” Banks said. “The purpose of utilizing the mechanisms of the insurrection act is to enforce the law, not replace it.”
But while the Insurrection Act is the law, the fact that martial law is not codified lands its use in a distinctly grey legal area. “One of the problems, of course, is that there’s nothing to prevent the president or a military commander from declaring martial law,” Banks noted. “They can just do it. It’s not sanctioned by law.”
Should we be worried?
“A really important limitation in the event that there is martial law is that it’s highly unlikely to be tolerated in a situation where our civilian institutions are working,” Banks noted. “Martial law requires a complete meltdown. It requires the inability of our civilian institutions to manage the government. It’s hard to imagine that.” Which leads to an 1863 Supreme Court ruling:
The Civil War being safely over, however, a divided Court, in the elaborately argued Milligan case, reverting to the older doctrine, pronounced President Lincoln’s action void, following his suspension of the writ of habeas corpus in September 1863, in ordering the trial by military commission of persons held in custody as “spies” and “abettors of the enemy.”
The salient passage of the Court’s opinion bearing on this point is the following: “If, in a foreign invasion or civil war, the courts are actually closed, and it is impossible to administer criminal justice according to law, then, on the theater of active military operations, where war really prevails, there is a necessity to furnish a substitute for the civil authority, thus overthrown, to preserve the safety of the army and society; and as no power is left but the military, it is allowed to govern by the martial rule until the laws can have their free course. As necessity creates the rule, so it limits its duration; for, if this government is continued after the courts are reinstated, it is a gross usurpation of power.
Martial rule can never exist where the courts are open and in the proper and unobstructed exercise of their jurisdiction. It is also confined to the locality of actual war.”

I do not want this string to turn into a debate about election fraud or whether the election was stolen. This post isn’t about the politics of it all, but the theology. Obviously, my claim that those who prophesied Trump would win did so falsely presumes that Trump has, in fact, lost the election (whether rightly or wrongly is irrelevant). But that presumption is well-founded, and thus my claim that these were false prophecies is well-founded. Even if you think – against all evidence – that Trump will still be president, please don’t argue for that here. That’s not the point. The point is that if Trump is not re-elected, then those who prophesied that he would be should be considered false prophets. If you aren’t ready to concede that point yet because you still think Trump will emerge victorious, fine. But I hope you’ll concede the point on January 20th if Biden is inaugurated instead of Trump. In the meantime, let’s keep this post on the topic of the testing of prophets.

Leona, LOL …….. and OJ was found innocent of murder. you are listing to the fake news —– just b/c lower courts didn’t rule in his favor and the scotus didn’t take a case doesn’t mean we are incorrect. the libtards had means, motive and opportunity. and no sane person says fraud did not occur — the only question outstanding is did it occur in such a degree it would’ve changed the election and the evidence says yes it did. actually, any sane person should agree ALL votes not witnessed by independent poll watchers should be deemed illegal. as soon as the officials for the states in question denied a full AUDIT with signature verification we all knew the fix was in —- that’s the only logical reason to not do an audit with the agreed upon facts. and ALL of us knew mailing out millions of ballots, even unsolicited, based on faulty voter rolls would be open to fraud. even libtards were crying the dominion voting machines could be compromised —- that is before the results were finalized.
LOL ……. if you dispute my point in B you are proving your lack of knowledge.
that’s totally biblical based. if there’s no “Thus saith the LORD” before your prediction you can’t be a false prophet.

TR, and I covered that in my comment. just b/c the prediction did not include ALL of the info does not make it false. if the election was stolen by definition Pres Trump won. and b/c an AUDIT was not done you can not prove the election was stolen. since the libtards had means, motive and opportunity and the evidence supports fraud occurred you fail on the cornerstone of your argument —– b/c you can’t disprove the prediction was correct.
and you prove my point —– you are exposing them as false prophets to get people to stop listening to them about what though ? the election ? the evidence proves the election was stolen. if you argue with rc you are using one of their favorite tactics. stating they are wrong about the election means they are wrong about other things —— totally bogus argument b/c as I correctly stated even if they are wrong about the election that doesn’t mean they are wrong about the other “doctrines” you say they are wrong about.

“1 Kings 22:19-23
Then Micaiah said, ‘Therefore hear the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on His throne, and all the host of heaven standing by, on His right hand and on His left. And the LORD said, ‘Who will persuade Ahab to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead?’ So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the LORD, and said, ‘I will persuade him.’ The LORD said to him, ‘In what way?’ So he said, ‘I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.’ And the LORD said, ‘You shall persuade him, and also prevail. Go out and do so.’ Therefore look! The LORD has put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these prophets of yours, and the LORD has declared disaster against you.””
the prophets lied but the lie was from God …….. were they false prophets ?
i watched the Pat Robertson video ……. sounded to me like he mentioned a few times he prayed to God and hopefully he got it right. I disagree with his interpretation and I would classify that as more of an error than a false prophesy.

LOL ……… so Pat Robertson is not under the Old Covenant but the New. however lets test his prediction under the OT (Old Testament).
based on his video there’s problems with TR’s claim. Pat R. doesn’t clearly say he’s speaking for God, a couple of times he indicates he hopes he got it right. therefore, the first part of being a false prophet under the OT is not meet so you can’t claim he is one using this example. now claims have been made the electoral college can’t be overturned and the info I have is yes that could happen. therefore, he can’t be accused as a false prophet on the second part until inauguration day —- when, if nothing occurs, Biden would be sworn in. but since his his prediction goes beyond Pres Trump just being sworn in next month even if Pres Trump is sworn in he may still be wrong if the other predictions don’t come to pass. and under the OT to be a false prophet both parts must be meet w/o an exception on the second part where God told you to lie for His motives.
now under the New Covenant a false prophet has different criterion as I see it.
so you could be guilty if you are scamming for money even if preaching biblical truth. and even if you are being sincere if you are preaching heresy you’d be guilty. now the problem is one man’s heresy is another’s biblical truth. and in the NT we should be very careful what we call heresy b/c not ALL disagreements are salvation issues. so under the OT you need to do both but under the NT you just need to do one.

Paul V, Robertson made very specific predictions about what would happen during Trump’s second term, including two assassination attempts. He was very clear that Trump would win. Prefacing all of those very specific predictions with “I hope I’ve got the word” does not change the fact that he was making prophetic predictions.

TR, “I hope I’ve got the word” does change that b/c he’s not saying “thus saith the LORD.” b/c that proves he’s just making a false prediction and not speaking for God. and that proves he’s wrong not a false prophet.
you err greatly in your zeal to get these people — your main err is you use the OT definition for some one under the New Covenant and you must have a beef with these people besides a false prophecy about the 2020 election.
from memory I believe that you are not an evangelical Christian so you may be hearing what you want to hear. fact is many preachers do make interpretations of biblical prophecy/make predictions that turn out wrong but they don’t teach “heresy” so they are not “false prophets” just wrong.
if Pat’s prediction turns out to be 100% will you believe everything he preaches ? LOL …. not me, even if he called down fire from heaven.

I have not read all the comments but I would like to add my 2 cents about NT prophecy.
I would like to counter that prophecy has definitely changed since Jesus came and I will give proof to my assertion.
Heb 1:1 Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
Heb 1:2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
In the OT God spoke in various ways through the prophets but now in the last days he has spoken through His Son Jesus Christ. The prophets pointed us to Christ that would come in the future and there are many prophecies and predictions of the coming of the Messiah that came to pass. These were genuine prophets who had God’s Word and proclaimed it and in some instances predicted future events. The most important event being the coming of the Messiah. Prophecy however, even in the OT, is not just about predicting future events. Prophecy is about proclaiming God’s Word to God’s people. This is even more apparent in the new testament where the Holy Spirit comes to indwell believers.
Act 2:11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.”
Act 2:12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”
Act 2:13 But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”
Peter’s Sermon at Pentecost
Act 2:14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words.
Act 2:15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:
Act 2:17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;
Act 2:18 even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
NT prophecy also means proclaiming “the mighty works of God” as shown above, Also the prophecy from Joel indicates that many would prophecy in the last days through the outpouring of God’s Spirit. This is a big change from the OT where only a select few would prophesy.
Act 15:32 And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.
Act 15:33 And after they had spent some time, they were sent off in peace by the brothers to those who had sent them.
Judas and Silas were prophets who encouraged and strengthened the brothers by their teaching and perhaps counseling.
1Co 13:2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
Prophecy is a means by which we give insight into the mysteries of God as revealed by the Holy Spirit. There are those with keener understanding of the scriptures and the prophetic word is not future-telling but a means to exhort and give understanding of what the scriptures mean.
Co 14:1 Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
1Co 14:2 For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit.
1Co 14:3 On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.
Again, we see prophecy is for encouragement and consolation.
1Co 14:6 Now, brothers, if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching?
Here we see prophecy is mentioned along with revelation, knowledge and teaching. It is part of this group of gifts that involves the transmitting of insight into the Word of God.
Co 14:23 If, therefore, the whole church comes together and all speak in tongues, and outsiders or unbelievers enter, will they not say that you are out of your minds?
1Co 14:24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or outsider enters, he is convicted by all, he is called to account by all,
1Co 14:25 the secrets of his heart are disclosed, and so, falling on his face, he will worship God and declare that God is really among you.
I can relate to the above passage in my past where the jabbering of tongues produced no edification but just made a lot of noise. We see prophecy which is the proclaiming of the gospel with clear understanding can compel and convince the unbeliever that God is among us.
1Co 14:31 For you can all prophesy one by one, so that all may learn and all be encouraged,
1Co 14:32 and the spirits of prophets are subject to prophets.
Again, we can all prophesy to encourage and edify the body of Christ.
In summary, prophecy in the NT does not contain the future-telling aspect like we saw in the OT. The predicting of worldly events such as the US presidential election is not the purpose of the NT gift of prophesy.
I have not touched on false prophets, but I can only say that a wrong prediction about a worldly event would not qualify as the sole proof of a false prophet since future-telling is not what prophecy is as I have explained.
Prophecy is the means by which the Word of God is proclaimed, exhorted and explained to give insight into the wisdom and mind of God so that the church may be edified. This is something that we can all participate in as the Holy Spirit gives us the inspiration to do so,

@Naz
Good post, Naz, but you missed a couple of verses:
Acts 11:28
28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Acts 21:10-11
10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judaea a certain prophet, named Agabus.
11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul’s girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
Moreover, Old Testament prophecy was not limited to predictions:
Jeremiah 23:21-22
21 I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied.
22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their doings.
In other words, one of the signs of a true prophet is that those who listen to him are living holy. He has instructed them in the word of the Lord to the degree that they know how to walk with God. In fact, the Scriptures themselves are called “prophecy” (1 Pe. 1:20) and the significant majority of the Scriptures is not predictive. A prophet is simply a spokesman for God; the office was never exclusively predictive.

and I’ll add Acts 16: 16 – 19. based on this it appears the girl had a evil spirit that made accurate predictions. so if those predictions were correct would she be a true prophetess ? no, b/c she was hindering God’s work.
even looking at the Second Coming prophecies I have to admit to doubters we Christians have a problem even though some verses later walk that back. that’s why there has be verses like “scoffers” b/c many of the Second Coming prophecies indicate the Second Coming is close at hand. the opportunity to address that could easily have been remedied by stating —- your death could happen at any time but the Second Coming won’t happen for centuries. so if there’s a verse saying the Second Coming is close at hand is that writer a false prophet ?

Scalia, good additions. Thank you,
God can do whatever he wants, as in the verses you pointed out, He can still foretell events if He so chooses like He did with Agabus (good name for a child… not).
I guess my point was that we should look at prophecy in the way the NT emphasizes it and not get carried away with certain preachers who make bold predictions about peoples lives or world events. More often than not these people end up with egg on their faces and sabotage their ministry. We need to steer clear from this and follow our heart about life decisions and let the world unfold as it will without trying to figure out what will happen and when in terms of end time events etc…
I have personally witnessed many preachers in the past “prophecy” about certain specific events that would happen to my local church with all sorts of pomp and grandeur only to see that church become dismantled and dead to this day.
I know there are even some that are waiting for God to tell them which house to buy or which car to buy, perhaps waiting on some preacher to tell them who to marry. This is the kind of fanaticism we need to purge from the church and get our heads in the truth of God’s Word and realize the Spirit lives in and through us and they we have the freedom to make choices without fear … but I digress.
Blessings.

If the currently emerging information about an affidavit from a whistleblower in Italy who was tasked to manipulate US election data and transfer it back over a satellite link controlled by defense contractor Leonardo SpA (CEO is a Democrat connected American) to servers in Frankfurt Germany (the subject of rumors of an armed military/CIA confrontation there in November) and then on to the swing state Dominion computers which were noted to have active network connectivity by several technical observers, then it is possible that between now and Jan. 20th, arrests and exposures could still occur, and Trump could theoretically be sworn in eventually. I’m not saying this is likely, but you can’t be sure for at least another several weeks what the outcome will be.
There are statistical indications, some discovered and exposed by a financial statistics practitioner named Robert Piton (@bobbypiton3 twitter), of many hundreds of thousands of phantom voters, fake identities, pre-deployed in the swing states. This would allow that when the counting was suddenly stopped in all swing states late on Nov. 3rd, the ballot data could be sent overseas for analysis and algorithmic manipulation to massage the net results data for a Biden win, and upload it back to the servers in the USA.
There are indications that blocks of fresh ballots for target swing state Blue counties were printed and pre-staged, and hand marked with Biden votes, sometimes ONLY Biden votes and no other races, so that the necessary number of added Biden ballots, offset in some cases with a smaller Trump vote destruction to try to keep total votes vs. registered voters somewhat in balance. You can see the ballots cast vs. voters numbers in Pennsylvania were still several hundred thousand out of balance in early January. Press releases laid out lame excuses for the discrepancy.
The Word of God will not benefit you, the hearer, if it is not mixed with faith.
You can choose to look out over the promised land with Joshua and Caleb, and say, in essence, “God says He can do this, so He/we can do this.”
To that point, listen to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7evOBf_E80 at 1:22:30 where Joel Oltmann, a journalist who managed to infiltrate a major Antifa network, describes a phone call he was on in mid-2020 with executive Eric Coomer, Dominion voting systems director of Product Strategy and Security who assured the other participants that Trump could not win, because he “made sure of that”. Ostmann says he was baffled by his own notes, but later came to understand that Coomer was referring to a covert voting fraud implementation. Back up that same video linked above and watch maybe the first 15 minutes to see how planned and contrived the “Capital Hill Coup” was, complete with Antifa dressed up as Trumpers to create the maximum harmful media Optics, with lamestream news stories already written up in advance to lay the blame at the feet of Trump’s followers.
Most of the participants here are skeptical of the “prophets” like Kat Kerr who predict a second term for Trump, and I’m not going to make any bold claim that she, or they generally, will be proved correct. In fact, there is a spiritual scenario I also track, under which Trump is a Jesuit/Masonic puppet, as is Biden, a dialectical pair brought into conflict under COVID lockdown pressures to put Mankind in a satanic crucible of change and alchemical transformation.
In that model, all the current political and virus theatre is an End Time Luciferian deception, a setup for the saints and conservatives to be villified and eventually persecuted, as Abaddon/Apollyon (Satan/Lucifer), is released from “The Bottomless Pit” temporarily to afflict the inhabitants of earth (Rev. 9:11, and not accidentally). The most clarion proponent of that interpretation of events is probably Jonathon Kleck, whose insights into spiritual symbolism is impressive. You must catch his video commentary on the bizarre, blatant Serpent/snake design motifs of the Vatican’s main Audience Hall.
A non-Christian, Zachary Hubbard, is perhaps the most useful source for insight into the dynamics of the Jesuit/Masonic world takeover plot, at his Gematria Effect news YT channel and web site. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pgo2wm_Esjg
Christian writer Tom Horn also provides powerful evidence about the long term “Illuminati” conspiracy–keep in mind that Adam Weishaupt was a Jesuit priest. If you are completely lost at this point, spend $3 to read the amazon Kindle ebook “1666: Redemption through Sin”, which is a concise dose of the history you were never taught in school that is essential to understand the real forces and groups operating in the modern world, and converging now under more explicit Satanic leadership for their final confrontation with the returning Messiah.

TR doesn’t like discussions of topic so i won’t argue just say —- if Pres Trump was a puppet of the new world order it’s highly unlikely the democrats would have behaved re him the way they have even before he took office.

Leona, LOL ……. what’s laughable is people like you that can’t see the steps taken (recount & sample audits) would not find the massive fraud the affidavits/evidence claim. that means people like you are the ones with the problem. people like me might be wrong but we don’t have your issues and won’t be outside.
hilariously, a full forensic audit in the contested states would have proved who’s lying. but that was not done and even court orders we obtained to inspect those magic voting machines were not enforced/fought by civil servants. the only logical conclusion for that was the steal was in for beijing biden.
LOL …… and there was no need for prophecies —- every sane person could see the massive mail in ballot scheme, which was unconstitutional by the way, was ripe for massive fraud. and “adjudicating” over 100,000 ballots like they did in GA would only lead to claims of vote stealing. and that’s not even mentioning those magic voting machines even demoncrats were saying are open to massive fraud —- hilariously that was before the 2020 election results though.

Paul, I see that you use “LOL” repeatedly in a lot of your posts. Is that your writing style or do you have some other intent? It appears by my lights that you’re using it to deride or belittle your interlocutor. But isn’t the force of your arguments sufficient? Why not let the facts speak for themselves? Unless you have some other motive, it makes you look like an immature juvenile. Note, I’m not calling you that, but the repeated “LOLs” are distracting at best.

Scalia ……. i use LOL repeatedly b/c i’m literally LOL at the sillness.
of course people like you think i’m “using it to deride or belittle your interlocutor.” and my arguments are rock solid in the vast majority of cases.
like here —- you don’t convict a New Covenant member with faulty use of OT laws. as stated here TR and others do not understand —- some evangelicals
when thoughts/dreams pop into their heads believe incorrectly this is from God. then they go around blabbing this revelation thinking they really had a vision —- this is an error but in all case i’ve seen did not meet the OT criterion b/c there’s no “thus saith the LORD.”
I don’t do that, but as a brief example —- while i was watching a news cast from cnn last nov 2020 a thought just popped in my head — if Pres Trump does get re-elected using the scotus or contested state legislators picking electoral votes they may just assassinate him. now since I don’t believe i’m God’s prophet i don’t attribute that to God.
now why I LOL at people like Leona is they attack me w/o knowledge. you see it’s very simple some body is lying re the fraud. one of the many claims of fraud is —- under the guise of electronic ballots being “adjudicated” they were changed from Pres Trump to beijing biden and then saved there by destroying the original ballot and replacing it with the altered ballot. now i have my doubts about you from our previous conversation but here’s a simple question for you and Leona. i’ll even give you the correct answer after —– would a recount discover that type of fraud ? No it would not, the data would count is a vote for biden. so you could do recounts until the cows come home and no fraud would be detected.

Paul, I talk to a lot over people over the internet, so please refresh my memory about our last conversation. Do you have a link?
As to your question, I too would answer “no.” The fact that the Dems did not want the voting machines analyzed speaks volumes about their integrity. And the scores of sworn affidavits with respect to illegal activity at the very least warrants a serious investigation.
As to your LOLs, I thank you for your explanation, but even if you’re attacked unjustly, you nonetheless appear juvenile when you reply that way. If your arguments are sound, that speaks louder than any LOL or emoji pasted into a text. It just an observation. Of course, you’re free to do whatever Jason allows you to do. I just don’t see it as an appropriate way to argue. If somebody’s a troll or a goon, just say so and be done with it. Every intelligent reader here will know it by virtue of the content of each post.

I would like to turn to the Post topic for a moment and leave the Cult of Trump and his followers in the heap of history a blipping carbuncle on the soul of humanity, alongside the Jim Jones Cult of Jonestown and his followers. They met their fate in the Guyana jungle drinking Koolaid laced cyanide. The difference is that the cult in today’s parallel case is still alive, at least long enough to repent; it is supposed to meet the repentance requirements.
Suppose one traces the history of the Prophets through the ages, up to today’s missionary careers. In that case, one will find that today’s ministers of the word(s) are the same as Prophets of the ancients. Prophet has merely morphed into using common mission names of current proponents of respective religions but are no different from ancient prophets; from Prophet to Priest, to Prefect and Preacher, Pastor, Primate, Pontiff, and Pope.
One who foresees the future as believers presume could just as quickly go from the commonly accepted term prophecy to priestecy, prefectecy, preachecy, pastorecy, primatecy, pontiffecy, popecy, or papacy. They would be as meaningful or as meaningless as a prophecy today. As useful or as useless depending on how such psychic clairvoyance is perceived because perception is 9/10’s of the law to turn a phrase; or, perception is nine-tenths of reality when it comes to belief. And carrying that a little further, we can reasonably say that morality is a cultural phenomenon
of any culture, into which one is born.
Great thinkers glean from the culture they are born into and compare it to the “spirit within you,” the real spirit baseline, that accepts or rejects the code accordingly. The “spirit within” ultimately defines your moral code; hence, the presumptive ethical behavior. Religion and its Holy Books and the Gods moral codes purport to be from are not grounded in morality because the Gods of religion, aka, Mythology are as diverse as the denominations within the various cults of religion derive from people.

people like me can clearly see TR’s error which no one has disproved. even if New Covenant members could be held accountable to Old Covenant rules, the vast majority always hedge their predictions so they would not be guilty even if incorrect. that’s b/c they want plausible deniability when they are wrong and especially when they give detailed predictions they are always are wrong.
and again, ILMAO b/c people like you can’t see how and why people would question gov’t “officials” for covering up massive fraud based on the agreed upon facts. why would you trust these gov’t officials that don’t take the actions
to verify our claims based on the agreed upon facts are false.
TR missed a very interesting side of the nov 2020 —- this is text book end times example of how the evil ones could take over w/o firing a shot. then when some nut jobs, out of frustration use violence b/c legal avenues are thwarted, they use that violence as a means to clamp down on personal liberties.

Paul V:
Look, anybody who verifies accurate prophecies based on whether or not the person who uttered the phrase, “Thus saith the Lord” that preceded the prophetic statement which you have claimed in posts 17, 25, and 35, is more than a little bizarre. Who would take any comment veracity seriously when you believe magic is miraculous? And Santa’s “naughty or nice” determines your Christmas gift(s)?
“Open Sesame” or the magical “Abracadabra” is the requirement to confirm storybook fiction but bible prophecy? First of all, there is no such thing as true prophecy, and even less is the magical incantation of “Thus saith the Lord” that proves a trend, prediction, or a guess that happens foreseen.
TR has nothing to fear from any objections you might make about anything TR states.
There is nothing magical in the bible other than that some people referred to in the bible appear to believe in magic as some people posting here seem to believe in magic, like yourself, for example. Your “incantation” seems to be a juvenile good-luck charm-wish.
For posters who may not be familiar with magic incantations, “OPEN SESAME” is a magical phrase in the story of “Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves” in Antoine Galland’s version of One Thousand and One Nights. It opens the mouth of a cave in which forty thieves have hidden a treasure.
“ABRACADABRA” is an incantation used as a magic word in stage magic tricks and historically was believed to have healing powers when inscribed on an amulet.

I don’t disagree with your post. But I do think we as a church have misunderstood what it means to be a prophet. I would argue that there are actually very few prophets in this age. Why? Because they have been led to believe that since they can prophesy, that makes them a prophet. It does not. It means they have a gift (not office) which gets filtered by immaturity. Due to this, there are no consequences for things which they speak. So they do so freely.
But the Office of Prophet is very different. There are too many examples of what that should look like in our bible. One that has tied themselves to the Word (not bible) and speaks it as such. This is an Office given as an ascension gift of Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, and Teacher.
Basely put, all Prophets can prophesy, but not all prophesying comes from a Prophet.
To go even farther, according to the Didache, a first century text, if a Prophet ever asks for money, he is a false prophet. What if we started with that? In today’s day and age that would almost erase the board.

LOL ….. you are hilarious — and have totally twisted what I wrote. no wonder you can’t understand why the facts indicate massive fraud occurred in the nov 2020 election and why only a full forensic audit c/w signature verification as indicated can explain what really happened. no surprise you people never answer my questions.
LOL ….. since you have a comprehension problem i’ll explain it for you — “Thus saith the Lord” has nothing to do with whether a prophecy is accurate or not —– it has to be there though to make it a false prophecy punishable by death. what makes you guilty of being a false prophet is not that you are incorrect —- that just makes you wrong. saying you are speaking for God and being wrong is what makes you a false prophet. that’s b/c the sin is breaking the III Commandment (ie. “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”).
taking the LORD’S name in vain is not just about “swearing.”
LOL ….. he should b/c if I’m right and I’m right, by his own criterion he’s breaking another Commandment. and he’s not repented so he’s in big trouble.

Thank you for posting this. This is the most important message a believer can read today because THIS is the “falling away” spoken of in scripture. So many are “falling” , being seduced away by false prophets. It is written this will happen before Christ comes again. It is rampant. I’m saddened by it yet marvel that I am witnessing this biblical prophecy come true.
Have you written anything about which preachers and churches are not false? I would love and appreciate that. I was healed by God – no one touched me – in a Word of Faith over 20 years ago. Pastor Butler’s son led the service. I’ve grown immensely in my understanding and faith with Charles Capps’ teachings. I still haven’t found a local church -very gun shy because years ago, a senior pastor at a church I trusted gave me counsel that didn’t align with God’s word.

You have missed the mark with this human rationale of the things of God and the heart of God. He takes the foolish things to confound the wise. Under your analysis Jeremiah and Isaiah (even the Lord Himself) would be considered false prophets.
You surmise prophets and prophecy wrongly. Just because a person prophecies does not make them a prophet. There is difference between the gift of prophecy and the office of prophecy.
In any case, a prophecy is only false if it does not speak the heart and will of God. It is not a prediction tool. That is what false prophets and soothsayers use prophecy for.
Noah was also a prophet. It didn’t rain and he was laughed at and ridiculed for following the instruction and will of God. Then it rained. And, all those who were not in the arc of God (under His will and protection) were utterly destroyed.
So, you can do your anonymous analysis to fool those who will be fooled to think that God works according to the ways of man and does not have His own ways. Even the Lord Jesus was called a false prophet (and even a devil) by those who over analyzed His actions and words according to their understanding.
God’s word does not fail. He is faithful. Though it tarry, in His perfect timing, it will be fulfilled. He is not a man that He should lie, neither is there any shadow of turning in Him. His ways are higher than our ways and so are His thoughts. He will fulfill His word, it will not return to Him void. God is faithful and so is His word!

Prophecy is a revelatory gift, meaning the info comes from God. And since God is always clear with His message, there is no chance of missing it. It doesn’t matter if one is a prophet or not. Any exercise of prophecy is the same, whether one is a prophet or not.

I agree, anyone who speaks prophecy and is incorrect, false prophet, and they are listening to wrong spirit. They have been deceived themselves and should reevaluate their actions. I am thankful that God reveals false prophets. Anytime I read a prophecy I look back on their history and look at what rings “true”. Too many people in the world today are accepting everything they hear or see on internet or tv as truth. We need to diligent and protect our heart, our soul, from deception.

MT is on the right track here. Let me ask, if there was solid proof that a massive electronic scheme was conducted in five or six states that defrauded Trump of a victory that he had, in fact, won, then would these putative “false prophecies” be in fact correct? He won, but the victory was stolen by the globalists in order to get their plans for a Luciferian “New” World Order (Nimrod Babel revival) back on track. So he did in fact qualify for two terms. One sign that this could be true is the incredibly tenacious attempt to withhold all the ballots, machines, and other evidence so that no real forensics can be applied to any of it, and of course the already blatantly fraudulent results of the mail-in ballots, with enough illegal votes in each of those critical states already admitted to flip the result back to Trump, if entrenched evil was not calling all the shots here. And I’m not lionizing Trump, he could well be part of the overall Jesuit/Masonic scheme that is playing out, dialectically, but I still prefer his freedom-honoring, life-honoring attitude versus the in-your-face lies (who’s your Daddy?) embraced by the left. In a way, none of this will matter once the NWO “initiation process” kicks off, very possibly in late May 2021.Not many people can overcome the mind control, and see what is really happening right under out noses… there are a few YTubers like TheJonathanKleck, Dana Ashlie, and “[The] Exalted Lamb 1” who are taking the time to interpret the “signs of the times” and interpret the symbolism being wielded as a spiritual weapon against us. We are spiritual beings who were already part of the rebellion in Heaven before incarnating here, and fealty and submission to God’s revelation of himself in Yeshua is our only way back, to purify our thoughts so we can be trusted to return to a place where thought itself, unhindered by matter, is the primary creative dynamic. We need to show ourselves willing to follow the law of Love, empowered and indwelt by the one whose love is always true and noble.

Just because it hasn’t happened yet, doesn’t mean it was a false prophecy. The prophecy may be for the future. (i.e., the prophecy about Cyrus in the Bible took 400 years to be fulfilled but it was fulfilled!) Trump was elected but the election was stolen from him but I understand those who won’t qualify that as a true prophetic word fulfilled. Kim Clement did give a prophetic word years ago that there would be 2 Presidents in 2021. Joe Biden has claimed one of those. The year still isn’t over – what will you say if it is determined Trump is truly the winner and is back in office this year? Will you believe then?
Additionally, if Trump were to successfully run and win in 2024, will you believe the prophecy then? Our job is not to trash those who speak words of prophecy but to pray about the prophecy and wait to see the outcome! Will all those who trashed the prophets, repent when the prophecy comes true? I bet (I’m not a prophet but bet I could prophesy this) no one will return here and admit they were wrong to accuse people of being false prophets when they spoke the truth!

Brothers and Sisters in Christ I believe the biggest problem is Christians are being propagandized by the media! The Word is truth and prayer by hearing the Word of God as we are instructed…after Our Great Lord answers our prayer we must ask for confirmation from Him 2 or 3 times. Quit worrying about who is right or wrong!! I know in 2 dreams God has shown me when I asked, Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.
He tells us in His parables what HE will do at judgement and He says judge not that ye be judged. Distractions of this world and that is including our flesh, we must get over ourselves and keep Our Eyes Upon Him!!! We must Repent and Pray for our nation and all unsaved in the world!!!

Oh geez…
The reality of course is all these people are so phony as a $3 bill anybody with a half ounce of discernment can see through them it doesn’t even take the spirit of God to do that

Hahah. Apparently God is not bigger than the legal system and voting procedures. Poor God couldn’t do anything about the corrupt system. Wow. I would never want to worship your weak God. I prefer mine. And I’ll stick to the bible over false prophets.
