Equality and equity do not mean the same thing. Equality is everyone being treated equal and getting what they deserve. Equity means fairness, but the way the political Left understands equity is anything but fair. They see equity as ensuring the same outcome whether you deserve it or not, and largely based on comparing groups to groups rather than individuals to individuals. This sort of equity is not achieved by treating everyone equally, but by treating some groups unequally so that the results are the same for all groups. If group A makes more money than group B, then policies are instituted that hurt group A but benefit group B so that the two groups will have the same outcome. Unfairness in the name of fairness. Don’t fall for this verbal deception. That’s not equity. Support equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome.

Almost. If we *expect* one group to perform similarly *given* equal opportunity, then unequal outcome serves as a *possible signal* of unequal opportunity, lending warrant to further study. “They want to force equal outcomes!” is mostly a strawman. Instead, unequal outcomes PLUS expectation of similar performance together serve as a heuristic that justifies exploration of deeper problems.
If this further study finds that there is (for example) racial bias in hiring or traffic stops, further action can be taken.
Often the strawman version of this is pushed by those who shrug at patterns like excessive traffic stops for people of color, thinking to themselves, “These people must drive more recklessly,” and whatnot. Here there is no expectation of similar performance, so pushing for equal outcome feels unjust to them. Making outcomes equal would require systemic “generosity” to people that don’t “deserve” it in their minds.
I am not saying that is what you’re doing, but you’re pushing the meme they push.

You have equity wrong.
The righteous side which you characterize as the “Left” wants the same outcome for equal work whether you are a man or a woman, equity may be fair from where you discern but equity from this discernment is equal pay for equal work, not about deserving it or not….if they don’t deserve equity paychecks because of gender that is unrighteous.
The other characterization of the “Right” is in fact hardly ever right in that they want the man to make more than the woman because in their religious circles they are the ones who claim that woman must yield to man and that is so 22 centuries on the other side of civilizing. That is churchy hierarchy embedded on a patriarchal foundation.
You complain about gender woman born as biological men should not compete in woman’s (physical) sports because it is not equitable and you’re right about that because it is a righteous decision
