Many Jews even until this day are unwilling to accept Jesus/Yahshua as Messiah because of the very fact that He was executed by crucifixion. They mistakenly believe this to be evidence of His ignominy [Deuteronomy 21:22-23; Galatians 3:13-14]. Messiah in their view can only be Israel’s King who brings His righteous kingdom to the entire world. They miss the point that first Messiah must deal with the issue of sin.
